Why I do what I do – I come from a family where sciences and medicine were easy conversation. It was no surprise then when I chose to go into pharmacy like my father, brother and uncle. But it never suited me. I never felt like I was actually making anyone better or making a positive difference in their lives.
I had a burning desire to help people, and almost out of frustration I investigated the fields of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), completing courses and gaining qualifications in Bach Flower Essences, Homeopathy and Aromatherapy. I also completed a certificate in Adult training and assessment. I really enjoyed using these modalities in my practice, but I still felt like something was missing – the picture was forming but was incomplete.
After further investigation I was eventually drawn towards hypnosis and hypnotherapy, its potential and the ability to make dramatic changes in people’s lives through an understanding of the sub-conscious mind. Thus began my formal study and registration as a Clinical Hypnotherapist. The changes to my practice have been dramatic – I now offer people who visit my practice a full suite of therapies, often used in combination, to effectively treat whatever it is that ails them.
My practice is based in Devon and I treat individual clients and groups face-to-face in locations between Exeter and Plymouth, or farther afield if required. I also make excellent use of the internet and conduct virtual therapy sessions regardless of location – so don’t let distance or timezone stand between you and the treatment you need!
I’ve included a summary of the conditions I typically treat during therapy sessions in the table below – the list isn’t exhaustive so don’t be disheartened if you don’t see your specific circumstances mentioned. If you would like to discuss how I am able to help you just pop your details in the form below and I’ll be in touch shortly. I offer everyone a free, no-obligation initial consultation to ensure that I am able to help and that we are the right fit for each other.
